Jeffrey J. Newton, P.E.

President

Jeff’s vast experience as both a land developer and an engineering consultant has provided him with a unique perspective on the various nuances of land development.  He has over 30 years of experience in the design, permitting and construction of a wide range of projects that include residential, retail, office and industrial developments ranging in size from small retail parcels to large tracts containing thousands of acres of land.  His land development experience brings with it a deeper understanding of his clients’ needs and goals.  Jeff has played a key role in the establishment and funding of multiple Community Development Districts and currently serves as the firm’s District Engineer for several districts.  He has also provided eminent domain support and expert witness services in judicial proceedings.

 

Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and has designed and permitted land development projects in 8 states, having held professional licenses in 5 states.


Scott E. Grossman, PSM

Executive Vice President / Survey Director

With over 30 years of industry experience and exceptional logistical focus, Scott ensures quality and timely product delivery to our firm’s valued clients.  Having joined DWMA in the early 1980s, Scott oversees the preparation of boundary, topographic and as-built surveys, right-of-way mapping, legal description preparation, and vertical and horizontal control monumentation for numerous city, county and state road projects as well as countless private sector clients.  He is responsible for keeping the firm’s survey department on the cutting edge of advancements in survey technologies and equipment, beginning in the “old days” of transits and theodolites and moving into the world of total stations, GPS and drone technology.  In addition to ensuring exceptional consistent service and production, Scott’s responsibilities also include managing the office and field personnel and the management of individual survey projects from initial client coordination to the delivery of the final product.


John T. Townsend, P.E.

Executive Vice President / Engineering Director

John (also known as JT) joined the firm in 1993 after obtaining his master’s degree and has grown with the company, continuing to develop his engineering talent with the design and permitting of numerous commercial, residential and institutional projects, including the design of roadways, storm water collection and management systems, sewage collection and transmission systems and water distribution systems, as well as cost estimating and construction phase services.  John has, with great enthusiasm, designed and permitted projects in nearly every Central Florida county and city over the past 25 years and has been able to successfully guide complicated projects from initial conception through land entitlements, design, permitting and final construction. 

 

John obtained both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.


Greg Naugle

Executive Vice President / Chief Financial Officer

Greg joined the firm in 2009 and leads the company’s financial operations.  With an expansive professional background in areas such as public accounting, entrepreneurial startups, SEC reporting, commercial construction and residential development, he applies a broad perspective of knowledge to his role servicing clients, financial markets and guiding the firm’s operation. Greg’s depth of knowledge and his wise application of financial management principles benefit the firm, our clients and the market as well.  His conservative, precise and insightful fiscal practices have kept the company on solid financial footing even through the most difficult economic conditions.

 

Greg earned dual bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.
